2015 Peppers

I sowed my pepper seeds on Wednesday! This year I will be trying a lot of new varieties that I received in seed trades from other gardeners. I am mainly growing sweet peppers with the exception of three hot peppers. Here are the varieties I will be growing.

Sweet:
Doux Long D'Antibes
Ljubov Dlan Paprika
Golden Marconi
Yolo Wonder
Hungarian Pumpkin
Chocolate Beauty
Chervena Chushka
Elephant Ear
Albino Bullnose
Cubanelle

Hot:
Jalapeno Orange
Fish
Black Brant

Here are a few pictures I copied from the internet of a few of the varieties I will be growing.

Albino Bullnose

Chocolate Beauty

Elephant Ear

Fish

Golden Marconi

Orange Jalapeno
What pepper varieties will you be growing this year?

  1. I'm just in the middle of writing up a pepper post as well. Looks like you are the exact opposite of me - I'm growing 10 varieties with 3 of them being the sweets. Not one variety matches those that are on your list, which goes to show how many wonderful varieties there are out there. The Chervena Chushka was on my list but didn't make it onto the grow list this year - I'll be interested to see how it does for you.

    1. Hi Margaret!
I have read many good things about Chervena Chushka, we shall see! That is funny that our lists are the opposite! I am a wimp when it comes to hot peppers. I do like a little heat to my Chili and Salsa.

  2. I've grown chocolate beauty and Cubanelle in past and they're both good (one for eating and cubanelle for frying), and I've had Chervona Chushka from past living in Ukraine. Would love to see how Elephant Ear and Golden Marconi come out.

    1. I am looking forward growing Chocolate Beauty! That's interesting that you lived in the Ukraine. How long did you live there?
