Basinga Tomato
These are some of the cherry and small tomatoes I have been harvesting. The cherry tomatoes are Green Grape, Red Pear and Chocolate Cherry. The small size tomatoes are Bloody Butcher and Black Zebra (which are not fully ripe).
I also harvested the rest of my beets and my first Cubanelle peppers.
More Purple Beauty peppers, Crystal Apple cucumber and my first Listada eggplant. The Crystal Apple cucumber was very bitter and had a lot of seeds eventhough it is small.
I finally harvested my potatoes that I had growing in plastic tubs. They are Kennebec and Masquerade potatoes.
Thanks for looking at my harvests from this past week. To check out other Harvest Monday posts stop over at Daphne's Dandelions @ http://daphnesdandelions.blogspot.com
Very beautiful and colorful harvest, especially peppers and eggplant, gorgeous tomatoes and potatoes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny! I love taking garden pictures.
ReplyDeleteLovely harvest! I love the colors and uniqueness of your varieties!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I always say the more unusual the better in my garden. I am always trying new varieties.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tomato! I have to branch out and try something besides the traditional red tomatoes one of these years!!
ReplyDeleteI grow traditional red, but I also plant a lot ofdifferent colors and shapes. There are so many varieties to choose from it is hard to pick.
DeleteYou definitely had some good harvests this week! I haven't even tried to dig any potatoes. Maybe Wednesday I will. I sure hope we get enough tomatoes for the canning class on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteMy tomatoes are being very slow with ripening. My plants are full of tomatoes, but they just are not turning. I told my husband they are just teasing me lol. I am looking forward to Saturday!
DeleteYou have such a colorful variety of veggies. Love that Basinga tomato and the Zebras too. Right now I'd be happy with any tomato!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was feeling the same way about my tomatoes and then last week they slowly started turning one by one. This year my tomatoes seem like they are behind with ripening compared to other years.
ReplyDeleteYou are spring potato and beet harvests with your summer tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteSoon you will be getting lots of ripe tomatoes, it seems to take just a couple weeks after the first ripe ones.
Thank you! I can't wait till my tomatoes start ripening on a regular basis instead of sporadically.
